I run Ahuora, an investment management firm that uses AI to identify and trade on investment
opportunities. We use adaptive, data-driven models to study market dynamics and spot patterns that
aren’t obvious through traditional analysis.
Our approach combines diverse quantitative + qualitative inputs (financial metrics, alternative data, and context) with first-principles investing, focusing on the true drivers of value instead of consensus narratives.
At Ahuora, that shows up across strategies ranging from AI-assisted with human oversight (AhuoraXP) to dynamic passive allocation (AhuoraIX) and fully autonomous execution (AhuoraAT).
Computer Scientist & Engineer
I hold a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Computer Science, and I’ve been building and shipping software at top-tier tech companies since 2006.
My research sits at the intersection of AI, NLP, and LLMs; with a strong emphasis on making real systems work in practice. A recurring theme in my work is efficiency in large language models (e.g., pruning, distillation, synthetic data, and techniques to reduce parameter needs without giving up performance).
I also enjoy applied ML problems, like zero-shot models, synthetic-data-driven methods, and open-book question answering without domain labels.

In Exceptional Products, Exceptional Returns, I explore a simple idea: over the long run, a small number of Exceptional Products (XPs) drive an outsized share of value in the world and in the stock market.
The book lays out an XP checklist (five tests), explains why markets often underprice these products (and sometimes overshoot), and offers a practical framework: find real XPs, buy at reasonable valuations, hold through volatility, and sell when the product stops being exceptional—or when the price assumes the impossible.
Outside of work
Outside of markets and models, I try to keep life simple and grounded. I’m deeply grateful for my family and friends, they’re my compass, and I make time for the relationships that matter most.
I’m also passionate about charity and giving back, whether that’s supporting causes I care about or helping in practical, hands-on ways when I can. And when I’m unplugging, you’ll usually find me playing tennis or golf, or doing something outdoors; fresh air, movement, and a little friendly competition are my reset button.
Finally, I take my role as a dad joke aficionado seriously. If you have a good one, send it over; bonus points if it’s clever, and double bonus points if it’s painfully corny!
